Baby Update!

We went to our new doctor yesterday and she is so great! I can't believe it's been 2 months already! Jon and I feel really comfortable with her and trust her so much already! Her name is Dr. Patton and she is known to be the best in the hosptial! Unfortunalety, we didn't get to hear the heartbeat yesterday, but we will for sure at our next appointment January 9th! She said the baby and I are doing great and that I need to eat lots between now and my next visit! The baby is a little bigger than a belly button right now and should be about the size of an apple by Chrismtas! We have alot of growing to do between now and the next 2 weeks!
I made my first mommy decision last night! My doctor recommends her pateints to see a specialist around the 12th week to get a special sono done to see if there are any abnormalities in the baby at that point. After much thinking and talking with my pregnant sister in law, I decided that there is no need to know at this point if there is anything wrong with the baby. After all, there is nothing you can do to treat it if there was something wrong. We can just pray for a healthy baby!
You still can't tell that I am pregnant at all, so I will post a new picture in a few weeks!
We are so thankful for a healthy update on mommy and the baby!

New York in Dallas

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary this weekend and it was such a blast! We had planned on going to New York City for a long weekend, but when we found out we were pregnant we gladly cancelled the trip (I was advised not to fly in the first trimester)! Thankfully we bought the insurance on the trip since we were hoping to be pregnant! We were off Friday and Monday from work so it was a very nice 4 day weekend of fun! We stayed at the Gaylord, did the ice tour (I totally recommend that for a fun night out), ate a a few fun restaurants, shopped for baby furniture, saw a movie, and just spent some fun time together! This past year has been so wonderful and we can't wait to celebrate many more to come!
