Possey Christmas Party

Kim was a little late, but got her own personal announcement in a gift from Mich! She can't wait to be an aunt kimmy again!

Cade sure is a lucky boy with all these pretty girls!
Whit wanted to take a belly pic too

This was our 3rd annual Christmas Party at my house and it was the best ever! Michelle announced that she is pregnant and is expecting a new wonderful life next summer! We are ALL EXTREMELY happy for her and can't wait for all her fun to begin! The party was great, it started off with the same exact dinner we have every year, lasagna (given that i am a new busy mom, i went with stouffers frozen this year) green beans almondine, yummy garlic bread ( i actually remembered to take it out of the oven this year), strawberry spinich salad, and dessert of course! We usually have dinner at my house, look at lights together, have an ornament and secret santa exchange, and end at Michelle's for dessert, but this year we were all lazy and wanted to sit and chat forever! Jon let me keep Cade with the girls while him and the husbands had their fun at Buffalo, the girls were shocked Jon let Cade hang with us! This is such an amazing group of girls and you know they LOVE you to death when they wait at the hospital for 14+ hours while you are in labor! Love all of you so much!

We had such a wonderful Christmas and I am so sad that all the decor, rush of shopping, and Christmas music is over. Cade was by far the VERY best gift of all and we are so thankful for him!
We are so fortunate to have our families so close to each other and were able to celebrate Christmas with everybody! The Sunday before Christmas we celebrated with my immediate family at my parents (gigi and papaw) house. We had a delicious lunch cooked by Gigi, gifts galore, fun times hanging out, girls decorated gingerbread houses (more like a contest), boys played wii, kids took naps, and ate pizza for dinner!
Christmas Eve we went to Jon's parents house (mimi and pops) and had a great time! We hungout during the afternoon and played with the boys, ate a great dinner together, chatted with the family in our pj's, and had a slumber party! We all woke up Christmas morning and ate breakfast and opened gifts together!
We headed to my Nanny and Papa's for Christmas Day and had such a great celebration! It was so fun for everybody to be there, our family is growing so much each year! This year we added Cade and Kenzie and next year we will add Tyler (Kristin's fiance) and who knows if there will be another baby (from somebody else that is)! The kids couldn't wait to open gifts after lunch and I can't wait for Cade to enjoy that part of it much more next year. In all the celebrations the little guy just slept and let mommy and daddy open all his gifts. He definitely has a new wardrobe from Christmas alone!
Christmas night Jon, Cade, and I celebrated our first Christmas as a family of 3 at home together! We exchanged gifts, read to Cade the story of baby Jesus, and celebrated as a family the true meaning of Christmas! Even though Cade won't remember much about this Christmas, it was great to start our family traditions with him! He had a TON of Christmas outfits to wear over the day,we didn't get all of them on him, but I tried to capture all that we did!
I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

First ride in the carseat, he loves that thing so much!
Daddy and Cade, so sweet...ahh!!
We were so happy to take him home with us for the first time!
Can't get enough of this.....

Gigi, Papaw, Aunt Krissy, and Uncle B decorated the front porch and yard for the welcome home!

We had a very out of the ordinary Thanksgiving this year, but wouldn't have changed a thing. We are so thankful this year for our little angel and were able to bring him home for the very first time on Thanksgivng Day!

Beautiful Day!

This was by far the best feeling ever, to have my sweet angel cuddled up next to me for the first time!
Daddy LOVES giving Cade kisses and so does mommy
Love, love, love him!
First family photo
We bought this wall word months ago, but Jon wouldn't hang it until Cade was born...

We are extremely thankful and full of excitement to announce the arrival of our precious baby boy, Cade Michael Grimes. He was born last Tuesday, November 25Th at 7:15 pm weighing 6lbs and 11 ounces. Last Monday night we were admitted to the hospital to begin the cervidill and were joined by tons of friends and family to keep us company during the waiting time. Monday night Jon and I didn't sleep much (I was even given 2 ambiens) because we knew the next day we would finally meet our son that we have waited and prayed for, for so long! Tuesday morning started like any normal day (just in the hospital), shower, makeup, etc. But when I was standing at the mirror doing my makeup my water broke right then and there all over the hospital bathroom floor! I was SO excited because all along I have been wanting my water to break on it's own so I could experience that feeling, and I sure did! Soon after I was given pitocin and the contractions began! This is VERY unlike me, but I kept turning down the epidural for my pain that let's just say it was hellacious, and I ended up apologizing later in the day to Jon when the angel in me came back to life for my fierce attitude! I guess it was about 2 hours of pretty intense contractions and I begged for the anesthesiologist to get in there ASAP, of course at that point I was the 3rd lovely lady in the same situation and had to wait my turn. I got the epidural around 9am and waited ALL day long for the nurse to finally tell me I was at a 10! At that point my nurse called Dr. Lopez in and we began SERIOUS LABOR! Jon, my nurse, and Dr. Lopez made this such an amazing experience for me and encouraged me the entire way, one hour later Jon delivered our precious miracle! Jon had asked Dr. Lopez earlier if he could deliver Cade, and she said if all was going well he was more than welcome, so as soon as they saw his little head coming she let Jon take over. Before I knew it Jon laid our sweet little newborn on my chest and I cannot even describe the love that i immediately felt for him! I couldn't stop thinking about all that Jon and I went through to get Cade and he was finally here, healthy, and ours! Jon and I shared an unforgettable moment together with Cade and loved on our son together for a good hour before they took him off to the nursery! That first hour with him was the sweetest time ever and I will never forget that memory with my two boys! Cade, mommy, and daddy are absolutely loving being home together! Sometimes we just sit and stare at Cade as we hold him and thank God over and over again for blessing us with him, we are so thankful! We never knew how much we could love somebody we just met until Cade arrived, what a BEAUTIFUL DAY!
