Fridays are my FAVE!!!

For now, in this season of life, Fridays are the best!
No school (yay)!
No schedule (yay yay)!
Last Friday I asked Cade what he wanted to do and he picked to go see "The Lego Movie!"
It was a fun movie and now we sing "everything is awesome, everything is cool...."
Nanny, Sarah and Gigi joined us too-such troopers they are, either that or they REALLY wanted some popcorn, ha! :)

And today we took the kids to paint pottery, it was such a hit and so much fun! We can't wait to go back next week to pick up our plates!

Now, mommy (yes I talk to myself) hold on to all of these memories!

Friday-celebrating

We are a family that celebrates!
We celebrate little things and big things, that's what we do. We want everyone to feel special in life and so anytime there is something to celebrate, we shall!
Last night we celebrated Cade and his awesome decision! He chose to eat dinner at Red Robin, to pick out a Bible that has pictures, and top off the night with fro yo at Sweet Frog! I love this boy, his daddy and his lil sis! :)

Wednesday-"Cade's Story"

Last Thursday, Cade came running in from the back yard to the kitchen where I was cooking dinner. With big tears in his eyes he said, " mommy, I just asked Jesus to live in my heart." I was surprised to hear him say that right then just as he was having a grand ole time playing in the backyard. However, I was not surprised to hear that Cade accepted Jesus as his Savior. Ever since Cade has been praying, he has prayed for his heart. More so in the last 6 months than ever. We have talked to Cade about becoming a Christian and what that means, about heaven, about eternal life....and he is "getting it!" We couldn't be more proud. When Jon came home from work we talked to Cade and he really knew what it meant. We emailed our children's minister, she is wonderful, and she gave us a book to work through with Cade. He is loving reading each page and filling in all the blanks and looking up all the verses. I think the kid might have the book done in less than a week! Cade has told us several times over the past week that he isn't afraid to get baptized and he wants his sister to see him. Oh man I love that boy and his giant heart! I don't think we could ever be more proud of Cade and the decision that he made, on his own! Jon and I have prayed for our kids since before they were born to love Jesus and follow Him at a young age, thank the Lord for that answered prayer!

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Little Lauren

Cade...

"I adore his smile...
 I cherish his hugs....
 I admire his heart....
But most of all I love that he is MY son!"

Cherishing these moments!

I LOVE picking up the kids from school and surprising them with going to do something fun instead of taking a rest/nap at home. Tuesday when I picked them up I said "kids let's go to the park and play until dinner!" They looked at each other and said "AWESOME" at the same time, it was great! The kids are 3 1/2 and 5 right now, fun fun ages! They are at an age where naps are still good, and we don't skip them much, but every now and then we do and sometimes that makes for a grumpy evening and an early bedtime, and that's ok. I am cherishing my days with the kids and trying to soak in all the fun with them that I possibly can. I feel like I am going to be losing Cade in the fall when he goes to Kinder. I should clarify I know I am not losing him, I'll just be losing a lot of time I am SO used to spending with him. Ok-I should stop there so the tears don't start. :)
I told the kids to pick a park and I could take them there-they picked the "soccer park" so off we went! :)
 Nose kisses!
 Lots of laughs!
 Melt my heart!
 Funny stories from Tay!
Great afternoon with my favorite littles!

cousins vday party!

Monday the cousins were out of school so they came down to have a fun lil Vday party together at Gigi's house! Brooke and Kenz came to watch Tay at dance class first....oh how she loved her big cousin coming to watch her!
Gigi made  fabulous lunch and we played and played all day! Now that the kids are getting older and in school, these days are even more special!
Love our fam!
