I hosted a Sunday School girls night on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. We had a dinner and dessert together and talked until we were all full and tired. I am so thankful for the church we go to, the class we are part of, and the friends that we have made there. They are truly a blessing in our lives and we are so thankful! I enjoyed hosting these friends over for a fun night!
We had Thanksgiving lunch at Nanny's house. It's still so weird and terribly sad to not write Nanny and Papa's, I am not sure it will ever become normal. Holidays are different there for sure too. We all still have a great time, but there is just a missing person who we all miss so much. I am thankful that Nanny still hosts just like she has always done, she has really been so strong through all of this. On a happier note we enjoyed Thanksgiving lunch together and spent the afternoon visiting and kids playing! We missed all the cousins that couldn't be there this year.
Nanny always gives the kids and couples each a Christmas ornament. We love looking at these each year on the tree and remembering which ones Nanny and Papa gave us! So thankful for a family with traditions!
Jon's parents came over to our house that night. Our house was under construction then due to the kitchen remodel and I completely forgot to get any pics. Since the kitchen was a mess, I couldn't cook, and we did something probably against all Thanksgiving rules and picked up Whataburger and ate it at the kitchen table...yes I know. I will do better next year!
We truly have so much to be thankful for! We are so blessed and I hope we never lose sight of all the things and people with have to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey Trot

What a great start to Thanksgiving Day! The 10k Turkey Trot was a lot of fun with these girls! I woke up bright and early and headed to run, rewarded myself with starbucks and then rushed home to make our Thanksgiving lunch dishes to take to Nanny's! It was a whirlwind morning, but too much fun to skip out on!
So thankful for friends!

Disney on Ice-girls night

Tatum and I had so much fun at Disney on Ice with her friends and their mommas! We had dinner before at Uncle Julios, YUM, and then headed over to the Allen Event Center for the show! We love going to see Disney on Ice there because it's such a small venue and every seat feels so close! We also celebrated Brenley's 5th birthday this night, happy birthday bren! We had a lot of fun, even if we didn't get home until midnight, opps! :)

Cade turns SIX!

How is it even possible for my baby boy to be SIX years old?!?!
In a way it feels like it's been forever that he's been in our lives, and then just the next second it feels like he should still be two and wearing diapers. Ahhh, I love having a son so much!
Ok, before I get too sad, let's talk about this birthday boy!
We started off his birthday fun with a birthday breakfast with his birthday friend, Brylee! I love that Tanna and I somehow manage a way to get these two together on their actual birthdays each year! How special that they share this day! Always a fun time with them!

Cade was itching to spend his birthday money at Toysrus, so we went there and let me tell you that $85 is a lot for a little boy to spend all in one place (it was in giftcards). He had a fun time shopping and even let his sister pick out something. The boy continues to amaze me with his sweet heart!
After shopping we went to meet aunt krissy and gigi for lunch at red robin, another thing on Cade's birthday list! He devoured a burger and shake and was happy as can be!

We spent the afternoon playing at the park with cousins and eating cupcakes, of course!
We had plans to go out to dinner, but little sis was running a fever. We decided that pizza would still be fun, so that is what we did! Pizza and presents with a 6 year old, it was just perfect!
 Man, I love this boy!
A few weeks earlier we had Cade's birthday party at Urban Air, everyone had so much fun jumping and playing! This boy has ALOT OF FRIENDS! He was so happy some of his friends from his kinder class could come!!

Ok Cade, the next 6 years cannot go by this quickly! So, I am going to need you to slow down on growing (yah right)! Happy Birthday to me one and only son, who I will never be able to get enough of! We love you sweet boy!
