Well, the day has come. The kids are starting school together. We've had a really great summer together and they are ready for school!
Tatum is off to kindergarten and is in Mrs. Guest class (i couldn't be more thankful) and Cade is off to first grade and is in Mrs. Green's class!
They were SO excited for their first day!
Tatum has no idea what to expect. She was sure excited, but I could also tell she was nervous. She always follows me around the house, but this morning she held on to me as she followed me, i love her so much!
Look at that face, the excitment is just written all over it!My little Tay Tay....oh how I have loved all my days with her! It has truly been the joy of my life to stay home with the kids the last 6.5 years! I wouldn't trade a day of that time with the kids for anything. We are entering a new season that I am sure will be great and wonderful!
Family selfie before we got out of the car. We were so thankful that Jon could join us for the first day walk in. I really didn't know if I would cry or be sad or what I would feel like walking out of the school childless (wahhhhh), but I was good. I feel like Tatum is at "home" being in Mrs. Guest class, and that feeling is priceless. I don't know Cade's teacher very well, but I hope to this year!
Cade found his kinder buddies and they thought it was so cool their shoes matched!
She found her place at the table and was so happy!
The kinder moms went to breakfast after, it was a good idea!
My pics are out of order today (which annoys me, but not enought to re-do). The kids lunches this morning! I love being mommy!
A few more....
My mom is so used to seeing the kids just about everyday, so this school thing is really messing with that. I told my mom she should come with me to pick up the kids, so she did! She came to pick me up and it was pouring down rain, the biggest and craziest storm came right at pick up time, oh man!
Car line selfie!
Tatum used to tell me last year when we were in the car line together that I am going to miss her next year. I always agreed with her! She would tell me I wouldn't know what to do without her, and she is so right! I miss her being with me already! But, i pulled up to this...
Look how happy she is to see us! Oh this made me so happy!
We decided to celebrate the first day with sweet frog!
I got this email from Mrs. Guest, she is so wonderful!
The kids were exhausted! Nowhere i would rather be then laid all over at the end of the day! The kids had a very happy day! We will figure out this new normal!
Happy first day kiddos!
