Good morning, Good morning, Good morning, it's Friday!
I nearly started writing the "good morning" song that I sing to my kids each day, but it just wouldn't have done it justice in writing, I will just let you imagine how lovely it is!
I am linking up with my favorite Friday posts, Erika, Andrea and Narci, come join us for this fun Friday Favroites!
As always I have a few random favorites from over the week!
I started decorating my house for fall this week!
It's so exciting to bring out the fall decor, make pumpkin everything and the cooler weather is just glorious!
Here is a tiny glimpse at all the fall decor that I will be posting next week, ek, ek, ek!!
I was cooking dinner the other night and I looked out the back door to see this little Tay Tay, she looked so tall, long legged and grown up. I put dinner on hold and just watched her for a while. She is getting so big, wants her pony tail high like mine, and is becoming such a little lady. Oh how I love this girl!
Two thumbs up for chinese chicken!
It's just so yummy!
I love it when I get smiles, two thumbs up and kids asking for seconds at dinner! :)
You should make this too, here is the recipe:
Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken
The chicken coating:
3-4 boneless chicken breasts
salt + pepper
1 cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup canola oil
The sweet and sour sauce:
3/4 cup sugar
4 tbs ketchup
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt
Start by preheating your oven to 325 degrees. Rinse your chicken breasts in water and then cut into cubes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip chicken into the cornstarch to coat then dip into the eggs. Heat your 1/4 cup oil in a large skillet and cook your chicken until browned but not cooked through. Place the chicken in a 9x13 greased baking dish. Mix all of your sweet and sour sauce ingredients in a bowl with a whisk and then pour evenly over the chicken. Bake for one hour and during the baking process you will need to turn the chicken every 15 minutes.
The kids were all smiles for picture day yesterday!
I asked the kids after school how they smiled for their pictures and I got this...
and this, which made me smile too!
25,000 miles before lunch time could only mean one thing! The long run of the week was done!
After drop off yesterday morning I conquered the long marathon run of the week. 15 miles for the win!
