Friday Favorites!

Good morning, Good morning, Good morning, it's Friday!
I nearly started writing the "good morning" song that I sing to my kids each day, but it just wouldn't have done it justice in writing, I will just let you imagine how lovely it is!
I am linking up with my favorite Friday posts, Erika, Andrea and Narci, come join us for this fun Friday Favroites!
As always I have a few random favorites from over the week!
I started decorating my house for fall this week!
It's so exciting to bring out the fall decor, make pumpkin everything and the cooler weather is just glorious!
Here is a tiny glimpse at all the fall decor that I will be posting next week, ek, ek, ek!!
I was cooking dinner the other night and I looked out the back door to see this little Tay Tay, she looked so tall, long legged and grown up. I put dinner on hold and just watched her for a while. She is getting so big, wants her pony tail high like mine, and is becoming such a little lady. Oh how I love this girl!
Two thumbs up for chinese chicken!
It's just so yummy!
I love it when I get smiles, two thumbs up and kids asking for seconds at dinner! :)
You should make this too, here is the recipe:
Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken

The chicken coating:

3-4 boneless chicken breasts
salt + pepper
1 cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup canola oil

The sweet and sour sauce:

3/4 cup sugar
4 tbs ketchup
1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt

Start by preheating your oven to 325 degrees. Rinse your chicken breasts in water and then cut into cubes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip chicken into the cornstarch to coat then dip into the eggs.  Heat your 1/4 cup oil in a large skillet and cook your chicken until browned but not cooked through. Place the chicken in a 9x13 greased baking dish. Mix all of your sweet and sour sauce ingredients in a bowl with a whisk and then pour evenly over the chicken. Bake for one hour and during the baking process you will need to turn the chicken every 15 minutes.
The kids were all smiles for picture day yesterday!
I asked the kids after school how they smiled for their pictures and I got this...
and this, which made me smile too!
25,000 miles before lunch time could only mean one thing! The long run of the week was done!

After drop off yesterday morning I conquered the long marathon run of the week. 15 miles for the win!

Not much cooking going on over here this week.
What I'm reminiscing about.
I love to look back on what we were doing a year ago. I looked back at this week from last year this morning and found this blog post, I love looking at how much the kids have changed, grown, and what we were up to and how we were spending our days. After all that really is the point and theme of this blog over the past 9ish years! If you aren't documenting your families lives, I strongly encourage you to, in one way or another! The days, months and years just fly by and the only thing we have to look back on are the memories made in our hearts and as much as our minds can contain and of course any documented!
What I'm loving.
Pretty much any and all fall decor! That is what I am loving!
What we've been up to.
I blogged yesterday about our weekend, you can read it here!
It was a great weekend!
What I'm dreading.
I don't know that I am totally dreading it because I have no idea, but I am dreading the unknown of how these longer marathon runs are going to make me feel. Heavy, sore, tired achy legs? I am sure that is coming. This week my runs are 4 miles, 7 miles, 4 miles, 7 miles, 15 miles, a rest day and a cross training day. I felt like I still had energy after running the 14 miles on Friday, but my legs were definitely ready for a rest. Each week brings on a new challenge of it's own, so I can only focus on one mile at a time. It's kind of like life, you cannot see the entire picture, because we cannot handle that, just one day at a time is all God gives us.
What I'm working on.
Decorating my house for all! I cannot wait to share that with you next week!
What I'm excited about.
Twin baby boys coming so so soon!
What I'm watching/reading.
I am reading a few books right now. I don't normally read this many at one time, but this season of life there is just a lot!

The Armor of God is my mid week church group study.
Uninvited is my Monday night bootcamp/women's study.
Crazy love is our small group book.
And Weird is our Sunday morning class book.
What I'm listening to.
I have had my Pandora Station on Lady Antebellum for a few weeks now, maybe because I am craving another concert! :)
What I'm wearing.
 Plaid Shirts

That is pretty much it!
What I'm doing this weekend.
What I'm looking forward to next month.
Next month I am looking forward to lots of pumpkin patches! Which made me want to look back at the kids pictures over the years! Oh how these years have flown by.
What else is new.
The fall weather this week has been so great, especially Tuesday! My morning run wasn't too sweaty and I finally feel like I can breathe during a run again! The change of seasons is always great!
What's your favorite fall recipe?
Pumpkin Bread!
