Y'all (I didn't realize how much I say y'all until a blogger friend outside of Texas recently pointed that out, what can I say, I am a Texas girl) this is going to be a good week, we have been waiting for a very long time for my sisters babies to arrive and this is THE WEEK! :) We are just thrilled and cannot wait to love on them so much!
We had a super fun weekend!
I will start with Friday morning!
I will start with Friday morning!
These 2 whom you might not even recognize, Queen Elsa and Minecraft Steve had their fall parties at school!
I party hopped as always and had so much fun with the kids and all of their friends! Tatum and I spent a lot of her party being silly in the photo booth! :) The kids had a blast!
Minecraft boy loved that he could be making any face he wanted under this box head and nobody even knew! :) Such a boy!
We were all thankful my mom came to party hop with us, we take turns in the kids class and that way they both feel like they have a special person there with them, thanks Gigi! :)
Do you think this girl can put away some donuts!?
Queen Elsa's plate was full of all the sugar!
We love that party days mean pretty much a day out of school since we are out of there by 10:30! Yay for the weekend starting early!
Nanny invited us over for lunch Friday, and of course we have to play at least one round of skipbo when we are at Nanny's!
Friday night the kiddos had a slumber party with Mimi and Pops and Jon and I had a birthday dinner for Brandon with these fabulous friends! We had fun playing poker and laughing so, SO much!
(my top can be found here)
And maybe laughing even more!
Saturday morning Jon and I slept in and it felt oh SO good! I woke up at nearly 9:00 and felt so rested and wonderful! I didn't even know my body would let me sleep that long anymore since I have trained it well to rise up at about 5:00 am most days. Any who, it was wonderful and apparently much needed!
We met the kids and Mimi and Pops for lunch at Jason's Deli and ran a few errands.
I knew I needed to get my last run of the week in, and I knew we had plans Saturday night, and I knew when I did not set an alarm Friday night to wake up early Saturday that I was just going to have to squeeze the run in sometime before Sunday....and well, that meant running at 2:45 in the HEAT of the afternoon. I was a hot and sweaty mess and only had time for a quick change before our Saturday night plans. My thoughts were go messy, but at least I got it in. I have this crazy thought process that if I do not get all the marathon training runs in that I won't be able to finish on race day. There are 6 weeks left and in that 6 weeks there are 4 long runs left. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, however I have not ran over 18 yet. Maybe I should save that light comment for the end of this week when I run the 20 miler. :)
Amazed came on while I was running and this song will always and forever remind me of every single doctors appointment when i was pregnant with Cade. Jon would pick me up at work and we would ride together and listen to this song on repeat. We were so anxious and nervous going to each appointment and this song will always be so special to us! When I hear it now it reminds me all over again each time that God is so faithful!
Last week runs completed!
This week I will run 5,8,5,5,20, a cross training day and a rest day. It's always a puzzle trying to get it all in, but when you are determined... where there is a will there is a way!
After my hot and sweaty self changed and powdered up a bit we headed to a fall festival with Gigi and Papaw and friends!
The kids had such a great time!
Well, make that all of us had a really fun time! :)
We headed to dinner with friends afterwards and this was the only pic I have, mom fail, Tatum's eyes!
Church on Sunday!
Do you know how much I love these cowboys holding their bibles!?
Church dress was a comfy one yesterday and under $50 too! You can shop it here!
Ahhh really I am just so thankful for these faces that make my family! :)
We ended the weekend with dinner and friends Sunday night, such a great weekend!
Can y'all believe that tomorrow is November!?
I hope everyone has a fun Happy Halloween trick or treating and eating way too much candy! :)
